World No. 35 Kohlschreiber saved seven of eight break points and could have prevailed more comfortably in his second-round match had he converted more than three of the 18 break point chances he created on Cilic’s serve in the two-hour, 54-minute encounter. Victory for Kohlschreiber avenged the 6-0, 6-4 loss he suffered at the hands of Cilic in the Munich second round last week and improved his season match record to 15-9.
